For those that have served, are serving or are family of the Military Bubba's may I ask for a moment for Jim who is spending his first days with his six brothers for the first time in a LONG time. He was a WWII Vet and is now at peace with his brothers.
At Jim's request there was no announcement, no wake and no funeral & no Taps. (too hard on the family)
But the Old Ironsides team folded and presented the Flag to Jim's widow at the internment. Very few VFW of that period that were friends.
He is the last of the 'greatest generation' from my family.
No need for a post as that is the way Jim was.
Just a thought, prayer or the moment you took to read this is enough to know he and his brothers did the right thing.
Thank you.
Without a bump.
Thank you to all that have posted and PM'd as I remember Jim this week.
Your posts have helped me deal with this and helping emotionally with his widow.
She has all of his strength and more.
May God bless all of our men and women fighting for us now.
