Powder Availability Report

I was in blue northern thursday and they were expecting a powder shipment friday. They had a fair amount of one pound powders in stock. , mostly rifle powders.

A little high, but not as bad as some others. $28 for 1 lb of R15. Primers are still pretty expensive there $45/1000

thats better than my last look, was 33$/lb not long ago. I did see some price adjustments on some of the 8lb jugs last time in still off from what I can get it for.
I will be doing another group buy soon for primers and powder

Just got the weekly email from Patriot Arms in Ipswich, MA. They got a bunch of good powders in stock:

Bullseye, Varget, IMR 4064, IMR 4895, Hodg Tite Group, 2400, Pwr Pistol, Hodg CFE, Hodg H4198

I called and they said that 2400 is $25.50, Bullseye is $25, and Power Pistol is $25.

I stopped by Northeast Trading Company in Attleboro two days ago, they had a bunch of Hodgdon powders and a variety of Alliant powders. I found that their prices are pretty high though. H110 was ~$30 I believe. Whatever the number was, it was high enough where I wouldn't have gave it a second thought and immediately averted my attention to something else.

I did find that they had IMR 700x for $23 a bottle. That I can deal with.

Yeah that's a little steep when you include the sales tax. Shooters Outpost usually has H110 for $25. Cheapest I've bought H110/296 from was D&L in Warwick, RI at $23 per pound plus RI tax.

296 for $21.49/lb. yesterday at Bi-Mart in Oregon. I was shocked when I went in there this afternoon and they still had two pounds left (along with about half of what they had on the shelf yesterday). Figured that meant I should buy another pound for good luck.

Although that may not directly help things for everyone still back in MA, the fact that more and more powder has been showing up is a good sign for everyone.

Stopped by Glenn's in North Reading today and he has a metric s*itload of powder in stock, rifle & pistol. Didn't see Varget or 231 but many many of the other popular ones. Hodgdon, IMR, Alliant, Vihtavuori. Lots of primers and tons of projectiles as well.

Good to see powders trickling back in stock locally.

I was reading on the 1911 forums that 8lb jugs of HP-38 are in stock at Natchez shooting supply. Still currently in stock at $140.99 plus shipping and hazmat fee. They obviously don't ship to MA but thought I'd pass the info along to people in free states or MA people who have friends/family in free states to accept delivery.

Powder sale at D&L in Warwick this Saturday, they do have a good selection.

Yeah, as much as they're on the high side with their prices on guns, they've been great for powder and primers since last summer. I have seen 231, Bullseye, Power Pistol, Titegroup, Red Dot, Promo, 296, HS-6, Longshot, CFE, Unique, Accurate 7&9, and various and sundry rifle powders over the course of the last year. Plenty of CCI and Federal primers too. That said, I still go to Heritage as a first preference even though the hours suck - I'd hate to see D&L eat their lunch and then jack up prices.

Blue Northern in Ayer has a shitload of powder in stock including 700x, Power Pistol, HS6, Trail Boss, 4895, Reloder 15, BL-C(2), 748, H335, H380, Herco, Unique, and a few others.

Has anyone seen any Alliant BE-86 anywhere? I'm on the Cape and have check all the shops here as well as the south shore. ( Outback, Middelboro, M&M, and Hunters Trading Post). I really want to try this powder for 9mm if I can find some
