On 1/3/19 Deputies conducted a traffic stop on South Seventh Street in Hickman for a vehicle infraction. Upon investigation there were firearms found inside the vehicle that were suspected to be fully automatic which is illegal without a proper permit. There also was a total of 2.6 grams of suspected methamphetamine found in the vehicle. Further investigation led to a search warrant on a residence on Liberty Street in Hickman where 8 more fully automatic firearms were located... along with several other firearms and ammunition. The driver / homeowner was arrested for the following.
1. Improper equipment
2. Trafficking in controlled substance 1st degree “ methamphetamine “
3. Carrying concealed weapon.
The Federal Bureau Of alcohol tobacco and firearms assisted on scene where they have pending charges.
Hickman Police Department also assisted on scene.
