Police trade ins- shotguns?

Ive seen police trade in pistols listed for sale relatively often but I dont recall ever seeing shotguns for sale. Do they ever occur?

Summit gun broker has then frequently. You just missed the latest one in May. They had trade-in 870 police magnums for ~$300, which is a great deal.

Yes. My 870P spent its prior life riding around in an Attleboro cruiser.

Yes. I had a Remington 870 police trade in that I sold a couple of months ago and I also have a Savage 69RXL police trade in. They are probably more rare because every officer is issued a hand gun, but there are far fewer shotguns and they have a long life span.

Dont see the need to trade in shotguns half as much as handguns, they just sit there, excessive use against poodles and pregos

The "old" Zero Hour Arms had quite a few of them some years ago. Same price unless it had a Surefire light front end, those were more expensive.

Same here, mine was a Stoughton PD cruiser gun with Surefire front end, bought at the "old" ZHA.
