His wife in the home had an LTC.
HAD being the operative word. Not no mo'

Ryan said police found 11 more guns in the home that were legally owned by Dusti's wife, who she did not identify.

"She has not yet been charged in connection with this incident, but her license to carry firearms has been revoked," Ryan said.
What a crock of shit! Due process much?

silencers kill way harder

Yup.

"As we look at recent events across our country, now more than ever, we have to be mindful of the risks of the proliferation of unlicensed firearms, as well as homemade modifications such as these silencers, that make the weapons even more deadly and dangerous than they are in their natural state," Ryan said.

Japanese manufactured or domestic?

Domestic. This guy is one of a couple in the town the police tend to steer clear of/ ignore.

He had outstanding warrants, yet walked freely around town without a care. I saw him at the post office not too long ago.

@EddieCoyle first post nailed it.

I know exactly what house he lives in and I could nearly throw a baseball (nearly..) to his driveway from where I live.

Well hello there neighbor.

Shirley police chief LOL. What a hero! :emoji_face_palm:

Yeah. This towns leadership is beyond messed up. This is the same town that employs the now Lt. Cromwell. The one who as a Sgt. put evidence of possible child porn in a desk drawer and "forgot" about it, lied about it in an investigation, was demoted, fired, then rehired and promoted, and recently given a substantial raise.

It is a green town though. For now.

You could practically smell the urine from everyone pissing themselves in that press conference. But I wonder how the guns were secured in the house because I don't see any charges for storage. If the wife had a license, and the guns were locked, I'm not sure how this case gets proven against the man.

Hopefully he didn't do anything stupid like admit they were his. Or maybe he previously purchased them with his name before an LTC expired... So no way to claim wife owned them.

Regardless, they can always just say "because gunz" and that is all the evidence they need in MA.

Just spoke to a local store owner and he said that the guy has been a menace for years and he was also selling cocaine and pain meds...allegedly. I also talked to a neighbor and wouldn't you know this same dude used to walk around our HOA all the time with a freaking wolf dog and he'd be on his cell phone the entire time.

He used to run a used car lot at the place next to the body shop across from the Bull Run. I believe he ran the body shop too. I've heard rumors they they were fronts. I chalked it up to typical townie busy body stuff.

I swear that watching Ozark on Netflix has opened my eyes to a lot of businesses that I wonder how they are still running. They exist just to launder $$$

"At the time of the defendant’s arrest he had an open warrant out of Ayer District Court on charges of assault and battery on a person over the age of 60, two counts of making annoying phone calls and witness intimidation in connection with an unrelated offense."

So he's 62 according to the article. Can a person who is over 60 be charged with this? Doesnt make much sense to me. Guess its possible it happened a few years ago and he's been running around since then.

Yes, if you're over 60 you can be charged with this. He was called to the house for a domestic and throwing a phone at his wife, so I'm going to assume he hit his wife.

I love how the Harvard researchers think they have good information. “Hi, I’m from Harvard and would like to ask you some questions”; CLICK.

This is the best- every once in a while I end up with some moron hitting me up for a gun survey on a different forum.

"how many guns do you have?" usually comes up, I smash the number pad on my keboard to answer and then delete until it looks realistic: ex: 854637 would become 37.

I also particularly like "what do you carry?"
Chrome Desert Eagle in .50 open carry, appendix.

I didn't see it yet in the thread, maybe I missed it. But here is the "best" quote from the DA:

"Simply put, there is no reason that a person with good intentions would require a silencer. Those devices are strictly made for violent and insidious purposes.”

DA: Illegal firearms, homemade silencers, 35,000 rounds of ammo seized from Shirley man’s home

Massachusetts, baby!

The odd thing about that quote is 42 other states are totally cool with Suppressors. I hardly ever shoot without one, I even bought a new deer rifle with a threaded barrel. It makes shooting so much more enjoyable.

Well according to DA Ryan, you just do not have good intentions.

Maybe COMM2A should interview the guy and see if he might be a good test case to break the FID/LTC for guns in the home laws.

What...no loudeners?
Our club's CRO swears our Massified SR-556 came with one.

"At the time of the defendant’s arrest he had an open warrant out of Ayer District Court on charges of ... two counts of making annoying phone calls ... "

Hell, Charlie Baker has personally made at least three to our house in the past two months.

He used to run a used car lot at the place next to the body shop across from the Bull Run. ...

Those coordinates are the most New England thing since Norman Rockwell painted a picture of Grandma Moses painting a picture of a turkey dinner.

Pre-crime arrest.

"As we look at the recent events across the country, now more than ever, we have to be mindful of the risks of the proliferation of unlicensed firearms as well as homemade modifications," said Ryan.

Investigators don't know if any of the guns have been used in a crime and are currently testing them.
