5000 rounds of ammo and a few pistols...sounds to me like a day at the range...or perhaps Un día en el rango que tira.

Further, we've only heard that they had 5K rounds of Ammo and "tactical equipment" So really it could have been a couple of pistols and training gear-blue guns, targets, etc...I'm not ready to say that these are two standup guys (lost 3 guns in a probationary period? WTF) but this could be totally blown out of proportion.

There are stories of Americans who crossed into Mexico only to have discovered in their car a couple cartridges. The stories include months of trying to get released from Mexican jail.

If these police officer "only ones" get out easily, even when it seems that they were on a sales trip, it will be a travesty.
