I recently purchased a Glock 42 and I'm unsure whether I want to keep it or not. Is anyone familiar with the laws regarding the transfer of LEO-only firearms to civilians?

There is no special law if its a personally owned firearm. You just use the E-FA10 system to transfer it to an LTC holder, done. MA handgun compliance bullshit doesn't apply to anyone but gun dealers, it can be ignored in this circumstance. The "LE only" crap is an exemption in CMR 940 that covers dealers backsides, that's all it is, it doesn't result in a special gun or anything.
If you picked this up on a Glock blue label special you may be violating your contract with Glock, but that's a whole other issue that has nothing to do with criminal law.
