Unknown. from the raw video posted earlier, it doesn't look like there was any police activity at the time. I read at one of the news sites, neighbors reported multiple shots right before the explosion.

It was many minutes later before the FD got down to it, at least 10, or so it seemed anyway

And that house burned for many minutes before the explosion

I just got my daughter to bed, and was able to see the raw video for the first time.....Holy Crap!! That was a pretty serious explosion. Had the hallmarks of a BLEVE, e.g. a propane tank or the like.
