Judge Declares Pledge Unconstitutional
Sep 14 2:11 PM US/Eastern

SAN FRANCISCO

The Pledge of Allegiance was ruled unconstitutional Wednesday by a federal judge who granted legal standing to two families represented by an atheist whose previous attempt to get the pledge out of public schools was rejected by the U.S. Supreme Court.

WHAT NEXT????

I'm sure some illegal alien will come forward and tell us that it offends him to have to hear the national anthem before baseball games...

Liberals would of course side with him... wanna give him some money for his pain and suffering.. Grant him immunity for being in the country ILLEGALLY, then pay for him to bring the rest of his family here, and of course pay them to be on welfare and give them a pay raise every time the popped out a new baby. Their kids would see how easy it is to leach off the government and NEVER have to put in an honest day's work.. So of course the cycle would continue with them, then their children and so forth...

Ok.. End of rant

What's sad is that's already happened...well kind of.

There was an Illegal that came onto someone land. They held the kid. Then he sued and took the ranch from the guy that owned the land. They are not from here...and now own a large piece of land.

I'm sure that there is someone on there that has the complete story about it.

Yeah.. I remember reading about that...

SAD SAD days we are in...

The end is coming... Stock up on guns, ammo, and smokes people...

Yeah, I remember seeing this. Pathetic.

Almost as bad are the rulings that keep coming out of Kalifornia. Can you guys give me a couple of days to get three good friends out and then trigger off the earthquake that gives Nevada a coastline? [twisted]

I just can't stand the Atheists that do that. And the really strange thing is that I'm an Atheist!

You want to worship God, no problem.

Put "In God we trust" on money, no problem.

Put "So help me God" in an oath, no problem.

I have NO problem with school prayer, even, as long as it's a moment of silence for those who wish to pray. I can't see forcing a Jew, Moslem, Buddhist or Atheist to utter a Christian prayer, or anyone else "forced" to a certain religion. I think that's fair.

I'm with Derek, we can always get the wedge back after.

And really, I know that the The Pledge of Allegiance was started back when we were a more "Christan" society.

But it's still a pledge to our country. Not really a religious thing.

It's like taking the ten commandants off the front steps of the court house.

If that's the case, then don't use a bible to swear in people. Hell, don't even swear in people...because that's a whole, "So help me god" thing.

Oh, I recite the FULL Pledge of Allegiance, and IF I go to court, I'll affirm (I'd "swear", but THEY might have a problem with it, if they know I'm an Atheist).

The 10 Commandments belong on the Court House steps. This country has a rich history, much of our society is based on Christian Beliefs. No problem.

The Jews don't bitch, and the non-Liberal, non-Communist/Socialist Atheists don't bitch (there's somewhere's between 3 and 6 in my family) about Christianity. Only the Liberal Scum Atheists bitch, and that's because they're Liberals.

I don't know why anybody would be surprised by this ruling. The judge is in the 9th Circuit, and so he was bound by that court's previous ruling. It's about as surprising as having a challenge to an "unlawful possession" charge as a violation of a person's individual right to keep and bear arms being dismissed by a Mass District Court. Of course, if everything else is just perfect with the world, then it might provide an excuse to start a rant.

Even growing up on the west coast (WA) we wanted California to go sink off into the ocean where it belongs. [twisted] All I can say is this country is going to hell in a handbasket.

I know who the .1% includes...

"But the simple truth — born of experience — is that tyranny thrives best where government need not fear the wrath of an armed people."
