places to shoot??

anyone know any decent public places to shoot in southern maine?? Had a great little sandpit in gray that was recently posted by the maine turnpike authority. i'm not a member of any shooting clubs or anything else...any spot within 45 minutes of portland in any direction would be great! thanks in advance!

Exit 19. Go West.
There are some pits down rte 9A on the right.
I don't shoot there, but read about the spot on some forum...maybe here.
Check it out w/Google maps
