Calling shots is fundamental with any firearm designed to be aimed.

I agree with Supermoto. I don't have his pistol skills, but my smallbore and long range rifle skills are a bit higher than a beginner's. In position rifle shooting the highest level of accuracy DEMANDS that you know exactly when your rifle is going to fire.

Surprise break works great for teaching newbies. But to get past that plateau, trigger control must be about total control. That includes controlling exactly when the firearm is going to fire.
