Stay tuned for pictures from the Official NES Fall Pumpkin Shoot held today at the Middleboro Sportsman Club. We had a huge turnout and had an awesome day. Special thanks for Pilgrim for coordinating the event and the members of the Club for their hospitality and being range officers.

Pictures are in the process of being uploaded, so don't mind the red x's. They will finish shortly. Mods, if you could add captions to the pictures.

Thanks.

Pictures are resized to 1024x768 for better viewing on the forum. I will provide full scale 6MP 2816x2112 high resolution pictures tomorrow on my private website for those who wish it.

I'm amazed the camera withstood the muzzle blast of the 50. That one shot thats distorted is evidence of the power of that thing.
One thing I know for certain after today's shoot.... I need a Saiga 12 with laser sight. [devil2]

I hope most if not all of our members are on cable modems, at least, otherwise this thread is going to be very difficult to read! [shocked] I've got pictures, but I'm going to fiddle with them a bit before I post them (tomorrow) to do some resizing. Love the pictures, though! [wink]

Great pics Brent. Thanks for posting them.

Yup. Putting that little red dot on something and then making it disappear is the most fun you can have with your clothes on.

Really nice job on the pic's Brent ! Several shots of folks in full recoil, shells & brass flying, gunsmoke and punkin' guts everywhere !

Me happy. Me tired.

It was great meeting up with everyone again. I did not get a chance to meet as many folks as I wanted to, but it was a whole lotta fun !

Had to have caught me just as I squeezed the trigger. That baby sure can bark! [smile]

Friggin great time! Good to see all of you again, and meet many more of you guys! Oh yeah, and paying with your toys is always fun too! [smile]

Can't wait for the next one!

I liked the 2 shots with me in them. Picture #1: "Jen makes funny platypus face while shooting because her hand hurts"
Picture #2 "Jen stands off the line rubbing wrist" [rolleyes]

I had a great time, though it was shocking to see just how few rounds it takes to get my wrist to puff up...

That looked like it was a blast! Wish I could have been there with y'all.

Jen - was the surgery successful???? It shouldn't be swelling now. Call me concerned. [smile]

Looks like a good time..Everybody looked really really happy during what I guess was some sort of safety briefing..LOL

Anyone use HP's on those pumpkins ?

I looked like I was still sleeping.[smile]
As for hollow points, I tried a few out of my SKS with pretty good results, but my Ruger .204 for me was the ticket in making pie filling out of the pumpkins.

BJ's .17 HMR with V-Max bullets made quite the mess too! [smile]

And the soft-point .500 magnum did an assinine amount of damage [devil2]

Also I was very pleased with my .257 Roberts loaded with spitzer soft-points.

I was shooting soft points out of my .45-70 H&R Buffalo Rifle, both 300 and 405 gr. bullets. Now thats a pumpkin gun. Some major explosions and jumps. At the very end, short range, I tried a few of the smaller ones, pumpkin soup.

Before yesterday I was almost thinking of selling or trading that rifle. I rarely shot it and I don't hunt buffalo. Now, I am in love with it all over again. What a blast!
