Wife and I did more research as our LTCs await the grand master's approval. In at least one city (Methuen) they require a letter from a physician that certifies that an applicant is OK to possess a rifle or shotgun under an FID. Is this for real? What if a person has no primary care physician or their physician absolutely refuses to write such letter for liability reasons? Ignore it, get denied and go to court? Is Massachusetts that stupid? Please advise. Thanks.
