Pheasant Hunting New Areas

Hi Everyone,

The last time I hunted pheasant I did not live where I am now in the Orange, Ma area, I am trying to find the best accessible locations
for Birch Hill of Barre falls.

If you know of other successful lacations around here it would be appreciated.

Heading out on Friday and Saturday morning and still pretty undecisive on where to go.

barre falls is the spot to be, that WMA is 10.000 plus acres. according to mass wildlife they stock it 3 times a week for the season.

Birch Hill was crowded but the birds are plentiful as well as Barre Dam, being a armed hiker did not help me but if you have a good
dog they are getting their limit with in an hour.

Glad to see someone is finding the birds. The past 2 Saturdays I've gone out to the Charles River WMA in Medfield only to find that MassWildlife had failed to stock any. It was great for an hour after sunrise opening day, but nobody's seen any since.

No I'm pretty sure he was hunting alone and doesn't have a clue about hunting laws in MA. You were a crossing guard in high school weren't you?

There are hunting laws in this free state of Massachusetts?

Rest assured, all laws and regs were observed in the hunting of those pheasant and they all didn't come home with me.
