pheasant hunting at sandy neck

It does get stocked on a regular basis. I have hunted there a few times. It is not typical habitat, and is very tough walking, basically hunting sand dunes and beach rose thickets. A very different hunting experience, but not sure I would drive an hour to try it.

Doesn't piping plover taste like pheasant?
I live close by but I have never heard of pheasant hunting out there. I would recommend the Crane Wildlife area on Rte 151 (behind the Nickledeon) in Falmouth.

Yup, you are hunting out in the dunes on the backside of the beach. Its a very strange habitat for bird hunting, but it does get stocked and I have shot birds there. Its a hike to the area that gets stocked, so wear comfy shoes. Also remember the marshes have very deep (over your head) ditches and be careful if you venture out on the marsh. Birds can be found in the tall grass out there.
