Got out tonight for a quick pheasant hunt before sunset. The dog bumped about a half dozen birds but we were able to bag this rooster. It's his first rooster and I'm sure that as I get him on more pheasants his steadiness on these birds will improve.

Beautiful bird, and handsome dog. Still trying to get my GSP on his first pheasant. Quail, no problem. No luck with the pheasant. Where'd you get your pup from?

He's out of a breeder in GA. He's hard headed but is coming along nicely. He's not as biddable as my younger shorthair but his drive makes up for it.

This is my 8 month old who I have very high hopes for. She's very impressive to work with .
