Is that one still on the books? That would be awesome for the next GOAL rally - everybody print out the law - and show up with shotguns.
As awesome as that would be it would only lead to getting that law taken off the books.

Other than stolen goods, why the hate for other commercial exchanges of goods or services?
Just do away with the rangers entirely, and put a couple regular cops on the beat there. Why game the whole system? They need to just plain SIMPLIFY THINGS.
The correct answer is BOTH the rangers and the public should be armed. And I suspect most (if not all) rangers would prefer to be armed, just as we would.
Not if posted already but there is cell phone footage.

Sadly, even if a citizen had the means to present lethal force to protect those Rangers, they would be hard pressed to do so given the political climate in MA. That said, I might have had a hard time just standing there and filming.
There is no such thing as Dcr Police. So if you are going to agitate at least be accurate.
1. They chose that job
Please, prove me wrong. Tell me that if they get guns, they won't get additional power and if they get additional power, they won't abuse it.

Full video of the attack...anyone would have been justified in shooting the guy...

Except there wasn't clear video of the hospital stabbing. You or I would think so , but it's not up to us.
How long did that kid who shot the guy stabbing the doctor get jacked around for?
And how much I wonder did he have to dole out for Lawyers fees through all that?
Personally I might have pulled, but there would be a moment of hesitation there.
What would have happened if a CCer would have saved the park rangers?
go to prison or get sued, it would not be the first time. No self help means no self help.

I've worked in boston for almost 5 years and had no idea park rangers even existed. Which boston parks necessitate a ranger? Perhaps I am missing something.
also I am thoroughly confused about how anyone could be stabbed....I thought becoming Boston Strong would protect us. Guess I shouldnt have paid $30 for that T-shirt.
That could have been the National Park Service, those rangers do have police powers.
I got pulled over by one in Charlestown after picking up my fiance from nursing school. I thought they were real cops until I saw their clothing. But he did say I'm a park ranger etc and asked me for my license and registration. I rolled through a stop sign on their precious Navy Yard corner. Why do they exist???
Another form of welfare. That's why they exist
This is NES. Since when do we let accuracy and facts get in the way of a good ol' "**** Authority" thread?
And the Boston Muni's were disbanded and merged into BPD over a decade ago.
Except there wasn't clear video of the hospital stabbing.
Incorrect on the municipal police. We had one yell at our bpd detail (who had no idea who they where) just last year. They are the be all and end all (according to them) of the seaport area and the bpd isn't 'allowed' to work there
