Just a heads up that the PMC ride is this weekend starting Saturday morning through Sunday afternoon. They have 6200 riders this year, so please be careful if you are driving on any of the routes.

And yes, I know you hate riders. But they are raising $60 Million for cancer research this year.

What are they? Six points apiece??? The point value per rider goes down as the group gets bigger. ;)

The one that used to frost me was some race that happened in September that would loop into the Myles Standish Industrial Park. Guys would ride completely across the 2 lanes each way. Total tools. Plus they'd come down Bay Rd from Easton. Ever drive Bay Rd in Easton?? Very narrow. Blind curves. These morons would do everything to just inconvenience traffic.

Haven't seen it - or I've missed it - for the last 5-8 years.

I'l be going on-Cape on Monday AM. It'll be over then.

All kidding aside - good luck riders. Don't cramp up. And no juicing!

Don't forget "I's hates bicyclers. Theys don't follow traffic lars" as narrowly passing a group of cyclists, who are going 25mph in a 25mph zone, on a blind curve doing 40+.

Or when you almost hit one because the bicyclists think they dont have to stop at red lights or stop signs !

If you are talking about any other than hooliganny types in Boston or Worcester (or insert other city where this occurs) I am going to have to call bull here.

Well, the good thing about the PMC is that they have law enforcement at every cross roads to keep traffic and riders flowing safely.

When I was riding my MC out west a month or so ago there was a huge race with BMW chase bikes and everything, just like the France race. It was pretty cool, the leaders were in incredible shape and it was really organized.

Western MA, June 15th? That was the Tour of the Hill Towns. I didn't do it, but it is supposed to be a pretty tough race. Lots of climbing.

Rode the PMC about 10 years ago. Was just getting into riding (have since become a runner....weird) and the President of the company where I worked at the time had an annual tradition of sponsoring (100% paying) anyone who wanted to ride. Now, for those who don't know, it's VERY expensive. 10 years ago it was ~$4k per rider I think (not including housing Saturday night mind you) and he sponsored about 10 of us. He did this yearly and was a rather large philanthropist even aside from PMC, but he loved riding.

    Good luck riders!

I'd love to do this someday. I just don't like asking friends and family for money.

Just started riding in June to lose a few (~30 lbs) - the PMC route runs close to my house going over a few of my regular riding areas. Feel sorry for them given the condition of some of the roads.

    Not sure if serious. Lol

The best one is when they ride through a crosswalk. You’re a vehicle. Crosswalks are for walkers, D-Bag! A just because you aren’t motorized doesn’t mean you get to pretend every law is for your benefit.
