Anyone else into paintball? I first started playing 20 years ago, and took a break for close to 8 years while various surgeries healed.

A couple months ago, a bunch of friends all had birthdays within a 2 week span and decided to celebrate with slinging paint at each other. So we made it happen a couple weeks ago.

I broke out my two most prized possessions from my playing days, and spent a month replacing every seal and o-ring in the things. I also had to jury rig a charger, bench build a battery pack (with some advice from @Skysoldier ) get a compressed air tank hydrostatic tested, rewire a solenoid, install braided hoses, and found out that one of these paintball markers I got for the sum total of about $20 is one of only 10 made like it, and one collector has 8/10 and desperately wants mine.

I tuned the blue/black one pretty well and am firing off about 14 balls a second.

I played from the late 80’s to the mid 90’s. We played locally, Ma, NH and RI and used to travel to a place with barracks called Wolfs Lair in New Milford Pennsylvania and played in a few Can Am games in Montreal. We played in what was then the worlds largest paintball game in Jim Thorpe PA. That was a blast, with 2,000+ players unloading on each other in two huge mobs to start the day.

Not my pics but here are some of the guns we had:

PMI 68 Magnum, I used one for years, my all time favorite.

    BA287E74-1EF2-4C36-AEE1-96A07096B29F.jpeg

Tippman SMG, full auto .62 caliber, we bought two that we shared as a group.

Bud Orr Sniper from the early 90’s

Brass Eagle Nightmare. They lived up to their name, they were a nightmare, mostly because the pump would scissor balls in half all the time.

I played from 2000 until a couple years ago. Nice mags. I actually still am a moderator on a paintball board. Also ran a tournament for about 5 years or so. Good times

The E-mag is going to be worth a pretty penny. I suspect easily $750 but the ceiling could exceed 1k. I'd check pbnation and ebay for prices and perhaps see if there are any automag faceberg groups.

I still have 7 guns, some complete some not. Played for years and a 13 year supporting member on pbn. Would love to get back into it. I have a dark shocker urban camo and an 05 ego with an xsv frame also urban camo. A kapp cocker body that's incomplete and an aim body with a hinge frame. Nice pieces you have!

I could be wrong then, it's worth looking into if he's throwing around crazy numbers.

They only made 10-12 of this fade pattern, and mine is the only one with the high rise centerfeed.

I still have my EMag and my MicroMag with Z grip somewhere in my basement sealed in an old ammo can. I spent ALL my teenage moneys on mine. Had the board flashed for the EMagnum upgrade, wired the WARP feed directly to the EMag battery, fed it with a Halo, man that thing would hose. It was back before everything was capped at 14 bps or what ever the safe space is. I should dig my shit out and see if it even works anymore. Lord knows where I can find the instructions for the EMagnum flash, it might be stuck on something useless like 35 bps ramp mode since that is likely the last thing I had it set for.

Man, I got so swallowed up by the sexy Automag talk, I completely forgot to mention that I have a franken-E-cocker that I used to tinker with too.

Thanks to this thread, I am going to dig this shit out of my basement soon.

Played throughout high school till about 01 and some damn good times during it. I've had a few different markers over those years.
    1.) Spyder OG
    2.) MicroMag
3.) Bob Long signature series Auto Cocker
    4.) AutoMag RT

Of course you have to mod everyone of them, not a lot has changed in that department [rofl]

    I guess post'em if ya got'em?
Pre production KAPP , KAPP sold these as body kits and they would do the build with whatever parts the customer ordered. I know who has it now, but getting him to sell is another story.

Chris Cole Voodoo by shocktech, i sold it then got the body back and slowly getting it back together. I might be getting buried with this one.

Bought this because i always wanted one. No clue when i'll finish it. It's a Boston Paintball twister f2 series.
This is the last shoebox i owned. They are my go to gun of all time.

I always wanted one of these. This is sick man, I wonder how hard I would have to look to find a kit like that.

Guilty of paintball here too. Have not played since 1997(?).

    Splatmaster Rapide.
Bushmaster Line SI (Should have never this gun)
    Bud Orr Sniper 2
    PMI 3
Tippman SMG-60 Sniper (Still have 40+ stripper clips)
    Illustrator

I mated the Illustrator with the SMG-60 as an Over/Under configuration which ran off of 1 tank. I think it's in my garage will have to snap a pic of it for this thread.

I got it recently (2014-2015) because Boston did a re-run of the Twister. IIRC they had 5 series F1-F5 The F3's and up came built and the 1 and 2 came as kits like mine. You can find a few built if you look out for them. The kits like mine are going to be a bit harder.

This is my old Twister lite. Someone bought it and put a reflex kit on it. Which means it has a reactive trigger like a automagRT

I am surprised to see Boston Paintball is still a thing. I heavily involved in the fire alarm system upgrades to the Good Times plaza in Somerville years ago when they were moving into that space. Never did get to play though, I left for the Navy before they officially opened. Man this thread has me all sentimental.

I just went to Boston Paintball's website. I can not believe in 2019 the Autococker is still a thing. I would have thought for sure technology would have moved past that design. I am definitely going to dig mine out now.

Played a ton in middle school and into high school then they cut down the woods behind my parents house to build mansions. Got back into it 10 or so years ago then fell off again. Still have a Invert Mini and an Angel 1 in the basement though. Whats more fun than shooting people?

At the :20 mark, that's me with my Blue Automag.

Later when they say "BYOP" that's my pile of paint, (I went with friends and we typically would get 10 cases)

Also, all that Orange Smoke was my fault. Had a friend who did mandated Coast Guard inspections. He would get all the expired naval orange rescue smoke canisters.

I would bring them to the game!

    Great memories!!

I had always wondered if and at what point electronic guns with outrageous rates of fire would become lame and it would go back to mechanical markers. This is pretty rad.

In the new 10man tournaments they limit electronic guns to 5bps.

If you liked Canobie you should hit AG in Weare. Been through a couple owners but place has been done over and upgraded.

Funny thing is I mostly got out of Cockers. Had a Folda, a Kapp Razorback, a BBT sleeper. And a few more. Still have my T2s, ego 11 and Palmers lever gun

Heard good things about OSG. Never been though. Always played rebel ball by wachusett reservoir or friendly fire. When Wayne's Weaponry was open we would play there too. Always loved woodsball, rarely played speedball at one of the indoor places.

I always thought it was funny that "serious" paintballers always said "we are not playing war".
When I played paintball it was 100% about playing war...and it was fun.
