The Harrisburg police chief has put the city's more than 160 officers on a mission to track down a weapon that was stolen from an officer's personal car on Monday evening.

Officer Jenny Jenkins is now assigned to desk duty while the department investigates the theft of her semiautomatic handgun.

Monday was the second time Jenkins' police-issued handgun was taken.

The weapon, along with the holster and service belt, which contained a police radio, two clips of ammunition, handcuffs, mace and a night stick, were taken from her personal car.....

It says that police are saying that her car was entered... not even stating that it was broken in to. The dumb broad left her duty belt in view in an unlocked car... are you serious!!!

Some argue that the solution to keeping guns out of the hands of criminals is to disarm the public and only let the government have guns.

Agreed, if this had been a civilian firearm it probably would have started shooting passersby without warning, if it was a glock eventually it would have just wandered into a crowd of people and exploded.

Darn good thing it was a LEO firearm, now it's going to safely be transitioned out of PA and into NYC, Chicago or some other gun banning city where a poor youth trying to turn his luck around by entering the medicinal marijuana market will use it for self defense.
