P250 slide catch issue

Called Sig and they sent me a replacement slide catch for my P250. The problem is it has a different end, but other than that everything else is the same size. The one that came with my gun has a little nipple on the end that holds the spring in place. The one they sent me has a hole instead. I called Sig, and the rep insisted this was the only slide catch for the P250. Is this a newer version or something?

The one on the left is the original. The one on the right is the one that was sent to me.

The P250 was revamped in 2009-2010. You probably have a pre 2010 version. If it fits, use it.
