My alpha: DWM early 1909, a block, matching except grip panels but including mag. First contract w/ unit mark of Infanterieregiment 98, 5. Kompanie, Weapon No. 1 - likely the 1st Sergeant's.
Grips were incorrect at the time I got her, she's now fitted with a correct pair.

Every MilSurp collection needs a Luger.

1917 Erfurt, marked to the Machine Gun Company of the 122nd Wurttemburg Landwehr, Weapon #4. Original spare Erfurt marked magazine. The 122nd, although reserves, fought throughout the entire war and were in most of the major battles of the Western Front. They saw more combat than many "front line" units. They ended the war in the Argonne....hmmm....wonder how this one got to the US?

I have always been a fan of those since I was a kid. The real ones are pricy. Doe anyone make a legit replica? I imagine a replica is just as pricy.

Just bite the bullet and pay the money for a good one. I was buying them at 3-400 back in the seventies.I still have a couple.
Yeah, you’re right. I’ve been watching YouTube videos on them. Interesting design and they say fun to shoot. Without the current ammo shortage can you still get parabellum 9?

Lugerman.

LugerMan | Firearm restoration, manufacturing, parts, sales

Forgotten Weapons reviewed both the 9x19 and .45ACP Lugerman Lugers, there's a bunch of videos.

In addition to the very pricey German military Lugers, there's Swiss Lugers, German police Lugers, and French-occupation Lugers. Not as big of a premium and still authentic Lugers.

Just a heads up for those looking to deal with “Lugerman”: Eugene tends to have extremely long turnaround times on the work he does. I only bought parts from him and it took forever for him to ship them. I ended up dealing with another well-known P.08 gunsmith and parts supplier, “Luger Doc” to get my new barrel on my 1917 DWM restoration installed on my barrel extension. He was much quicker and easier to deal with.
