Out of State Sale through 02 Pawnbroker

Hello All:

I am a licensed 03 C&R Collector who wants to sell a C&R eligible rifle to an out of state non licensed individual. He has an (02) Pawnbroker in his state willing to accept rifle and do a transfer. I've never done or had any experience with out of state dispositions to (02 )Pawnbrokers.

Would it be legal for me to ship the C&R rifle to the out of state pawnbroker?


I don't want to violate any laws and I won't have a chance to call local ATF Office until next week. Any help is appreciated!

If the Pawnbroker has an FFL (I have no idea what an 02 is but am assuming it is an FFL) then it would be legal to ship. Whether that kind of transaction is legal for an 02 to do, I don't know, since it's not really pawning.

Found out that (02) Pawnbroker treated the same as (01)FFL so it is legal.
