A few of you have posted pics of your animals and your kids and grandkids, and since my "kids" are four legged and furry, I thought I'd start a topic just for them. Here's my Harley (aka Harley Dogidson)...

I love boxers...especially puppies. :D BTW - Ed calls Harley "Harlot"... as you can tell from his pose on the bed. [lol] [lol] [lol]

Merlin got in a snit because I didn't post his pic, so here's Merlin, the wonder cat. :D

Yes, he's flying. He's doing it the lazy way tho. :D

My Girlfriend and I recently got back together. This is our other dog Gabby. We each got a dog when we split. Gabby is a CockerSpaniel

Aw, they are all adorable. Type0,I have a soft spot for cockers. I'll have to see if Glenn will post pics of my girls, and of course the kitties. [lol]

Patrick and I don't have any pics of our rats (Molly and Nora) or our newly adopted parrot (Emmy), but when we do I'll post those too.

So many pics, so little time!

This is our Mean Guard Dog, Dukie. He'll lick you to death given the chance.

Dukie will be 6 in Dec. He's a Sweedish Vallhund, a cousin to the Corgi. True to his breeding, he tries to herd everything from rabbits to deer as they cross our property.

Aw SR, my first rescue cocker was a black one. She is the only one of my dogs that actually renamed herself. She also had a love hate relationship with Glenn. She was definately my girl though. Banjo is sooo cute.

Derek, Yea. You should see it on hikes. Have never needed leash, the dog will scout ahead, circle back, keep us in line, etc. He's a riot to watch. He hates it when my wife and I are on different floors doing different things in the house. He's always trotting from one to the other to see what's up. If I'm working in the yard, he settles down where he can 'supervise'.

Bolton has no leash law and we have quite a few acres here, so he's had the freedom to run. The highway side has a wire fence that I've walked each spring to find ansd repair holes. And we have two wetlands on opposite sides which leaves only one 'end' of the property where he could escape. He did that a few times as a pup, but tends to only go that way when we take our walk to get the mail. (we have a quarter mile long driveway)

Freaking smart dog too. His 'vocabulary' is quite extensive and in a few cases he's even picked up when we spell words like 'out'.

When he was a pup, a couple of kids in the family tormented him by bouncing a ball right in his face so he never liked balls and will still turn and walk away if he even sees one. However, he'll chase a frisbee for as long as you are willing to throw it. Course, he doesn't bring it back if he's getting tired.

He doesn't know he's a small dog, or he doesn't care. I suppose he was bred to herd cattle, so he should not be afraid of larger animals. We saw this first hand when the neighbors had a Great Dane and Dukie leaped up and knocked the larger dog over.

We have a small family of deer that usually bed down next to the marsh beyond the back meadow each winter. I swear one of the young bucks enjoys 'playing' with Dukie. He'll show up, allow Dukie to chase him, circle the house a few times stopping as needed to keep the dog in sight and then when Dukie gets tired will trot off.

He's flushed Turkeys and other game birds from time to time. If it wasn't for the damn highway, would probably be a great little private hunting area.

The house to our south-east with about 1.5 acrea of land (it borders one of the swamps) is on the market for just over $500K if anyone is interested. (^_^) Realty Listing

I just realized I never posted an invite to the pig roast! Just PM me if you think you are coming so we have a rough headcount. Details and directions are here: PIG ROAST
