Yeah, what are those things that look like WeatherTech floormats under the windshield wipers...?

It must be a trend. The blue car behind you has a tire under his wipers...

All ok, my son was driving and got a good bop to the head. It could have been much worse, seatbelt and air bags thank god! Exceptional Auto Body in Framingham was so helpful, kudos. They have Enterprise rental in their lobby. They worked with my ins co and in about 15 minutes I got keys in hand. For anyone out there considering small SUV I highly recommend the RAV4. I will be looking for another one as soon as ins co settles with me.

Speeding, no text or anything, he blew .03 on breathalyzer, so just a very unfortunate accident.

It hasn't been a great year for me, so far. I had a huge spinal reconstruction surgery in January. I've got a lot of hardware and bone grafting still healing. I'm not driving much anyways, I'm just so thankful that my son is ok.

Wheel well/fender liners or underbody tray.

Looking again, I would bet trim piece that runs under radiator.

I have no idea yet as to the $ value of my rav. It was a 2011 in mint condition with only 66,000 mi.
I need to do some online research soon. KBB and Car Guru comes to mind . Any other suggestions?

Bummer on the accident. I hope you come out OK with the insurance settlement.

I'll have to check but I'm pretty sure I have a spare oval. Also the NES black rifle sticker for your new ride.

Spinal surgery is no joke. I have an L4-L5-S1 fusion and a Neurostimulator.

I hope you have a fast and uneventful recovery.

Not an oval but got an alternative if Cowgirlup doesn’t have one.

Thanks! I like the oval because it's a little more unrecognizable to nonNESers...but I will not look a gift horse in the mouth, lol

. Thank you. My sympathies to you as well. I had L3-4-5 interbody fusion with screws/plates. L1-2-3 followed by L5-S1 on deck after I have a solid union. My recent surgery was 10 hours. I'm not looking foreword to more.
    No ERPO please, lol

Glad to hear nobody was hurt.
I got the rav last year at 0% through Toyota. Not sure if they are still offering it but it made better sense than a lease or financing used, IMHO.
I like the rav more than the Honda crv, the Tiguan, and waaayyy more than the Forester.
I haven't tried the Cayenne yet. I'd bet it would be my new favorite.

I've had several toyota's. Safe, dependable, all I've done has been oil changes and basic care. I will definitely be looking for a replacement RAV4.
Although a Cayenne might flip me......

I like the rav4s. Would suggest considering another, but don't over look Nissan Rogues or Mazda cx-5s.

If I was commuting again more than 100 miles a day, I'd probably have a cx-5.

Next door neighbor just made the transition from Ford escape (which didn't really shine but wasn't a crap box) to a rogue. And one week later, hit a deer on highway doing around 70 miles an hour. With her 5 month old in the back seat. Daughter slept through it. Not a scratch on anyone. She had a loaner for a few weeks, which was a new Rav 4, but went back to another Nissan rogue as soon as things cleared.

The current gen Rav 4s are a bit cutsey and more cramped than the model year you had. Though you won't find many 2011 eras with under 120k miles.

    Glad your son is ok!.

I like not having a car payment. I paid off my RAV a while back. Depending on what the insurance company tries to settle for, I'll probably go for a certified pre-owned, even if I need to throw some $$ on the deal. ;) I'm a single (not so dumb) blond female, so the sharky snarky dealers try to take advantage of the "dumb ones" lol, I'll make sure to ask how much Llama Thrust there is! Then ask about the difference between the 2.0 and 2.5 liter 4 cylinder gasoline and the 2.0 and 2.2 liter turbo diesels. I love pulling this shit on sales people.

    Llamathrust is the new horsepower.

If you really want to screw with a car dealer, as soon as you start to talk numbers, tell them straight off "do not even attempt to play four-square with me." I love watching the expression drop from their face as they have no idea how to negotiate without it.

ETA - Sauer Grapes - glad your son is ok.
