Other state AG's critique Healy Exxon lawsuit about climate change

http://dailycaller.com/2017/04/20/several-ags-call-out-ny-dems-unconstitutional-anti-exxon-probes/

Hopefully this is not a dupe, but I've been in Europe; talk about feeling naked while traveling, I didn't even have my Spiderco Endura! [frown]

Gawd, the queen is such a dirt bag!

Not surprised all 11 of the AG's are Republicans. The US Republican party is the only political party in the world that rejects any notion that mankind is affecting the climate. Must be all the campaign contributions from the fossil fuel industry. [rolleyes]

Biggest bag of BS that's been toted out in years. Back in the 70's the scientific community was claiming that a new Ice Age was approaching and world temperatures would plummet sending the world into another mini ice age similar to what occurred in the mid 1600's - early 1700's. Scientist's who examine ice cores taken from Antarctica have proven that spikes in temperature occur naturally and have done so for eons. Leonardo DiCaprio, the friggin actor, likes to espouse his viewpoint like he's a scientist. Al Gore is nothing but a hypocrite who made millions upon millions of $$$ off of his Global Warming/Climate Change BS while living a lifestyle that generated the carbon footprint of 1,000 average Americans. Most of Hollywood are lying hypocrites who tell all of us peons how to live while they jet set all over the globe and live outrageous lifestyles in huge mansions.

rather than stick up for the oil industry, why don't these same supposed freedom loving AG's come speak out against Healey's attacks on constitutional rights?

i wouldn't reach more than an inch deep in this article. those AG's are in the pocket of the oil industry. just beacuse they are criticizing two far left AG's does not mean they're thinking straight.

And what do the leftists propose to do to fix the problem other higher taxes, arbitrary carbon prices, and anti-growth measures that will do nothing to resolve GW?

Not to mention that it's just not all about CO2. Methane gas is emitted at about 10% of the volume of CO2, but it is 100 times more efficient than CO2 for trapping heat in the atmosphere. Methane emissions in the US decreased by 11% from 1990 to 2012, but methane released into the atmosphere still increased due to agriculture. In fact, if all the cows on earth were a country, they would be the third highest emitters of methane on earth through respiration, farts, and manure piles. That doesn't include all the methane released from methane hydrates (methane ice) trapped and released from fissures in the oceans. And, we haven't even discussed volcanoes yet.

So the policies pursued by the left are not remedies at all. The left’s formula for solving their favorite problem is to impose trillion-dollar measures such as higher taxes, an artificial price for carbon and increased utility bills – but according to the facts in this study, these measures won’t do anything to prevent manmade global warming.

Instead of the pointless taxes and arbitrary carbon price formulas which, oh by the way, fit all too well into the left’s anti-growth and anti-development agenda, we need to work toward finding solutions that focus on mitigation and technology. The political debate has to change. The faster the Democrats stop pretending that raising Americans’ power bills is a solution, the faster we may get around to actually doing something productive.

The greenies don't want the useless eaters having steak. The ocean releases magnitudes more gas than all the cows on earth, yet they want to regulate the cows... and here you are the useful greeny chicom quoting stuff that's gonna get cited on why meat isn't sustainable and needs to be rationed and outlawed.

Please enlighten me. Where did I say that meat should be rationed and outlawed? If that's what you read into it, I meant to say that volcanoes should be rationed and outlawed.

Most of the supposed research doesn't even take into account the effects of the sun?!

How the hell can you skip that when studying changes to the climate?

That's what they don't want to understand. The sun's energy drives everything related to earth's climate.

Their jobs depend on bull shitting the public, If they told the whole truth they would be out of a nice job.

Because of douche media, barely anyone outside of MA outside of some gun vendors know about the shit that happened on 7/20.

it's worse than that. these AG's are bought and paid for by the oil industry. Maura steps on Exxon's toe and they come running out screaming bloody murder. GMAFB.

I haven't looked at the list of AGs, but if they're from states with big oil/gas/coal markets, they have other motives for whining at her, too, basically they get slaughtered at re-election time if it looks like they're not trying to protect those jobs.

i love that "global warming" is even an argument. any meaningful data set would take as long as the human race has existed to even be useful in determining a trend.

"oh no, it didn't snow much this winter, er meh gawd, global warming!!!????@@@####"

So the NY AG was using off the books email accounts to illegally coordinate with activist groups. Want to bet Healey is/was doing the same including her AWB decree?

https://energyindepth.org/national/...ail-address-while-pursuing-exxonknew-crusade/

records laws – and new court documents provide yet another reason why he might want to keep them hidden. It turns out Schneiderman definitely used a private email address to conduct official business while he has been embroiled in his Exxon investigation.
The court documents, submitted by lawyers for the Energy and Environment Legal Institute (E&E Legal), explain that we know Schneiderman’s personal email address was used because it is contained within a privilege log of correspondence that he provided to the court. A judge only recognized that the personal email was used after an in camera review of this log.
All of this occurred after Schneiderman’s office claimed that a search for personal email addresses was not necessary because their office has a policy that personal email is “prohibited.” According to the court documents, “The record reveals that the respondents [Schneiderman’s office] took great pains to hide the true facts of the Attorney General’s use of private email addresses in an effort to stave off a court-ordered supplemental search.” (emphasis added) In fact, Schneiderman’s office provided the email that was sent from a personal address in the log they submitted, but did not identify what email address was used for that correspondence. Therefore the Court “accepted the representations made by the Attorney General.” Yet,
“Events subsequent to this Court’s Interim Order have definitively established that the Attorney General did, in fact, use his Gmail (or some other private email platform) for the performance of his duties at OAG. This Court has recognized after in camera review, that Document 160287-210-211 reflects the Attorney General using a private email address.
“At the time the December 21, 2016 Interim Order was signed, neither the Court nor the petitioners had any affirmative evidence that the Attorney General used a private email account. However, events subsequent to December 21, 2016 unequivocally establish that such a private email account was used for official business, and that the initial briefing in this case obfuscated that fact, causing a miscarriage of justice.” (emphasis added)

Not to mention carbon taxes are regressive and hurt the poor the most.
