Yeah, I got the email. I have a slight tinge of regret for not sending in a packet, I figured depending on what was left available, I'd decide to actually purchase or pass. In the end, I didn't send a packet. I'd rather put the money towards a Springfield or a 1917, or even an M1 Carbine (which reminds me, I've never even fired the carbine before).

If it really mattered they wouldn't let us do it.

I have a few 1911s and have no desire to own one of the old military pieces the CMP is offering. I would however like one of the repros that' Colt made a few years ago.
