Open carry keeping the peace at once-troubled NH bar?

I was there about a week ago, it's a really nice bar with a few flat screens and some cute waitresses. definately worth checking out tuesday night.

We'll be here tonight as well if anyone wants to drop by after work. Exit 5 on I-293, right off the ramp, third traffic light (you'll see the Verizon Wireless arena) hang a right, and it's a few blocks down on the right. It's about 60-70 minutes from Downtown Crossing, depending on traffic.

Dave, please read the entire thread! [rolleyes]

J/k buddy, we already decided on the 16th.

BTW, what time should we plan on being there?

I have to back out next week. I finally got a call for a install on a new phone system here at work and I need to work late that evening. [thinking]

I would re-schedule the install but I've been waiting a while and need to get the system in.

I know how much it sucks... I have a couple of customer support groups here, and they are both live until 8pm M-S, so any telco work I have to do either has to be late, or on Sundays!

I'm in if I get my LTC by then. (not open carry though) but Ill have restrictions I think. It'll be hard to find a pub in mass to allow it I would think.

a meet n greet would be cool though. what about a brunch?

Is the bar smoking or non-smoking? I thought I saw something about NH going non-smoking recently... Just wondering; after I get the cast off of my foot I might come up some Tuesday.

Professional curiosity, Derek... what kind of system are you having installed?

No need for a license to open carry in NH!

BD, in free states you do NOT need a license to exercise your Constitutional rights. New Hampshire residents can own whatever they like with our governmental permission slips. The ONLY permit NH residents need is a Concealed Carry permit. People can open carry without any permit of any kind.

So... basically, all you need to do is get over the border with your pistol and strap it on. If you have a MA LTC of any kind, just throw the gun in the trunk. Check the laws section, though, I think that there's something about having a loaded pistol in the car in NH if you're open carrying without a CCW permit.

MA is one of only a VERY small number of states that force it's subjects to have a license to simply own a firearm. In NH you do not need a license to own, or openly carry a firearm.

I didn't realize you hadn't even received your MA license yet, I thought you were waiting for a renewal or something.

BTW, Ross you are right about the no smoking thing. If you watch the video, you can see the folks going outside for a puff.

non-smoking like the rest of nh now however they do have about four tables and plenty of chairs outside and they serve you out there as well.

You don't need a permit or license of any kind to open carry in NH, though you do need the pistol/revolver license if you want to carry loaded in your car. Fortunately it's quite simple for MA LTC holders to get the NH pistol/revolver license, so you can concealed carry. You just fill out the form and mail it in with $20.00 and a copy of your MA LTC.

Correction (at least as of now): You mail it in with a copy of your UNRESTRICTED permit (from anywhere)!

Until the situation gets corrected (still being worked on), they will NOT issue a NH NR permit on a copy of a "Restricted Permit".

Well, gonna have to find out then.

Within the next few months, I will be working in Manchester for a few weeks.

May have to stop in one Tuesday and show off my "snubby"!

That doesn't mean, you're not welcome! It's just that OC is a real touchy subject today.

I completely understand what Keith's situation is. And I will still give him my business but it just sucks that once again Sheeple want to force their socialist agenda on everyone... [angry]

I hope this gets resolved quickly for him. My wife & I still plan on giving him some business when we're in the area.

Open or concealed.
