Open Carry At Apple Stores?

I did notice it, but I don't think it would be uncommon for someone to bring their current laptop into a store while looking for a new one... I mean I could definitely fake this myself, even photoshop the gun in, but something about it makes me think its real.

It could be fake, but a Swiss Reservist carrying a rifle like that around their drill weekend is very common.

You can't have an Apple logo and a Sony logo on the same laptop, so assuming they photoshopped the Apple logo, it does cast doubt on the rest of the photo as well. If it was just a wifi hotspot and someone open carried, I don't see the need to stick a fake apple logo on there.

+1.

I've seen videos of men and women carrying rifles there all over the place. Inside of stores, while riding bicycles, etc.

Yes a consumer could slap an apple sticker on their Sony, but you have to admit that casts some doubt on the legitimacy of the picture.

You would assume that most laptops in an apple store would be apples, not a hacked Sony. So yes, someone could do it on their own, but the chance of a non apple laptop in an apple store at the same time they snapped a picture is unlikely. so it's either an incredible coincidence, or some geek took a photo of a guy in a store and pasted the apple logo to fabricate a story.

To me the most realistic part of the whole thing is the Apple store it's self. The aluminum walls, the recessed monitor behind the genius bar, the wood tables with Macbook pros, all of that seems correct. The fact that one person has a Sony Viao with an Apple Sticker (Which comes with every Apple Computer, iPhone, iPad, & iPod) doesn't really discredit it as a real Apple Store...

Judging by the tables, lighting, and stools that's an apple store.

And the photo defiantly wasn't shopped.

Apple stores usually have wifi.

Nobody else seems to have noticed there's no mag in the rifle.

Ok, I'll go with that given the discussion -- that's now my fallback assuming it isn't a spoof. The lack of mag in the rifle supports it, too.

Zomg! The end of the article is pretty funny given that may really be the case.

While it's true that in Switzerland you would often see people carry their rifles after their mandarory gun practice...you would not want to live under their gun laws.

Those rifles transported in public have to be unloaded.
It's very hard to get a permit to carry a loaded handgun!
Also their storage laws are very restrictive.
Only positive thing - no one calls the SWAT team when someone walks aroud with an unloaded rifle...
