So each quarter we have in-service/refresher type training on various things such as arrest/handcuffing techniques, defensive tactics, edged weapons defense, and so forth. The training is usually at least somewhat physically demanding and you get a pretty good workout. Monday was my training day for this quarter, and one of the other agents in my class is one of the few Bernie Sanders fans we have at work, and he's also one of the more physically fit guys at the station.
As the day progressed, we were all getting pretty worn out from the drills and some of us weren't able to do all the reps/sets for the exercises (imagine Crossfit type workouts, do 30 lunges, then 30 bodybuilders, then 30 pushups, then repeat...stuff like that). So our instructor tells the Bernie supporter that he has to do all his reps/sets, plus all the reps that other people aren't able to finish doing. When the guy protested, our instructor said, "I'm redistributing the PT. You're in the top 1% for physical fitness, so you have to do your fair share and also make up for those guys that can't do as much. Welcome to Democratic Socialism, dude."
Probably the most exhausting Economics lesson I've ever seen
