So each quarter we have in-service/refresher type training on various things such as arrest/handcuffing techniques, defensive tactics, edged weapons defense, and so forth. The training is usually at least somewhat physically demanding and you get a pretty good workout. Monday was my training day for this quarter, and one of the other agents in my class is one of the few Bernie Sanders fans we have at work, and he's also one of the more physically fit guys at the station.

As the day progressed, we were all getting pretty worn out from the drills and some of us weren't able to do all the reps/sets for the exercises (imagine Crossfit type workouts, do 30 lunges, then 30 bodybuilders, then 30 pushups, then repeat...stuff like that). So our instructor tells the Bernie supporter that he has to do all his reps/sets, plus all the reps that other people aren't able to finish doing. When the guy protested, our instructor said, "I'm redistributing the PT. You're in the top 1% for physical fitness, so you have to do your fair share and also make up for those guys that can't do as much. Welcome to Democratic Socialism, dude."
Probably the most exhausting Economics lesson I've ever seen [rofl][rofl][rofl]

That's F'ING EPIC. I hope you bought the instructor a beer afterward.

His lunch was taken care of by those of us that comprehended the lesson. Like your signature says, "Stupid should hurt." I saw the Bernie supporter last night at work and he's still sore from the education his stupidity earned him on Monday.

Soooo....did he learn the lesson?
Unfortunately, no. See my reply to rwl1955 below.

Does the Bernie supporter realize he would lose his job because Bernie's not big on Border control?
I genuinely tried to have a heart-to-heart with the guy during a break at one point and tried to explain that very issue. I tried to explain to him that Sanders truly thinks we (Border Patrol Agents) are the enemy and he'd prefer to have us arrested than the illegals we arrest everyday. The guy just straight up called me a liar. I cannot understand how someone can be in the field of immigration/border enforcement and also be a Sanders supporter. It's such a conflict of interest.

Well done. Like the professor who got his class to agree that everyone in the class would get the same grade base on the class average. Soon the hard workers stopped trying and eventually everyone flunked.

I can't fathom why anybody that pays taxes could support him for POTUS.

He's been a decent Senator, but his wacky ideas don't go far there, so he ends up sometimes being the source of reason. Sometimes you can actually do the right thing for the wrong reasons. And, he has actually supported things he was personally against, just because the voters were for it. He's not the best guy, for sure, but also definitely not the worst. Remember, our other Senator is Pat Leahy, who is far worse. The only reason that idiot is still in office is the "D" after his name. And his competition has been far worse.

All that said, he'd make a pretty crappy POTUS/ Funny everybody thinks Hillary is doing so good when she's barely beating Bernie. He's done or said numerous things that usually cause a catastrophic fail, like saying he will raise taxes. He's giving her fits, and making her out herself on numerous issues, so I'm glad he's running. Hopefully he will cause her to lose.

Being a Sanders supporter is a conflict of interest to anyone who actually works to support themselves. I cannot fathom how ANYONE (except those sucking the big fat handout teat) would want him in office.

I've probably said this 75 times to different people, politics entirely aside (I think he's a douche) but how do you look at that crypt keeper looking mother f***** and think yeah he's gonna live through one or two terms as Potus. When Obama bush and slick willy looked like they aged 20 years

Better pay attention to his running mate if he gets that far. [rofl][rofl]
