Fox 25 (myfoxboston.com) is running a poll -Do you believe stricter gun control laws would have prevented the tragedy in Newtown, Conn.?
Last check - 18% Yes - 82% No

This is the article next to your little poll.

FOX UNDERCOVER - The weapon Adam Lanza used on his rampage was a Bushmaster semiautomatic carbine, a military-style assault weapon.

This type of assault weapon could be bought in Massachusetts if it's altered to fit state rules, which means it cannot have a 30-round magazine, a pistol grip or a collapsible stock, according to a spokesman for the Massachusetts Executive Office of Public Safety and Security.

In order to have an assault weapon or other large-capacity firearm or a rifle or shotgun in Massachusetts, a resident must obtain what's known as a class A license, which make up the majority of licenses given out in Massachusetts: 261,121 in all.

The top five towns with the most large capacity licenses are Boston, Springfield, Plymouth, Worcester and Westfield.

The state could not tell us how many Bushmaster carbines are registered in the state.

I don't consider this place a bright spot. It is more like a pair of soiled underpants.

I checked the link thinking it was going to be good, but it was like getting a fake link in an email from a friend that just leads you to a gay porn site.

I don't know if Fox or NES put that link in. I did not. Anyhow, I went back to your link (myfoxboston.com), and it is the one with the photo of the AR. I think I fixed the link in my post (which I never had in there, it came in by itself the first time somehow).

i saw that poll as well as a few others and most people i have spoken with agree that its a social issue not a gun control issue but the libs will use this tragedy to push their gun laws that will only affect the law abiding citizens and impede our constitutional rights.
right now is a time to mourn the loss of these children not politicize them...

It's a damn good thing we don't use the media as our source for firearm laws, there would be thousands put in bracelets for those damn pistol grips.
