Older Men at the Firing Range

I once bet a guy that I could rip a match book in half and hit that at 100 yards with an AR15. That rifle was a tack driver and it was a 4 digit serial number bought in the late 60's, pre forward asssist. I took that matchbook, stuck it to a stump with a thimb tack in the middle and we paced off 100 yards.

I took a prone position, loaded and slung in and squeezed off a shot. "Upper right corner" I said. Another round, "Lower right corner." Another round, "Upper left corner." Another round, "Lower left corner." "Last one is center." I squeezed off a round and the matchbook dropped off the stump.

It was exactly as I called it.
