You don't need to weld it up - just hang it on the wall with a trigger lock and you are all set. Welding will def ruin whatever value it has.

He charges $350 to resolder the barrels which by the pictures, needs to be done. It's your money, I don't think I'd put the at least $500 to put it back to a serviceable condition.

And as I'm sure you know, don't fire that thing without a gunsmith going through it first, or at least film it when you do so we can have a new WCGW entry

IDK you see a lot of people putting a $500 saddle on a $50 horse. I don't see anything that can't be over come but it's your time and money.
