Anybody here an expert on old pocket knives?
I just found this in a box in my basement. I tried to find exactly what it was, but couldn't find this exact knife anywhere. The nearest to it would be a #96 Sportsman, but I can't find one with smooth handles and no bolsters.

I couldn't find anything either. I looked through all of their catalogs since 1946 and the #96 Sportsman was the closest I saw.
Camillus catalogs
Is it possible that the handle was replaced at some point?

Sweet!

I‘m guessing no sentimental value?
Don't know exactly where i got it from. It was probably in a box of assorted stuff I used to buy at gun shops for $50. Holsters, reloading dies, slings, gun parts, knives, etc.

The numbers written on the back of the blade are more than likely from salesman samples. From times where salesman went door to door. I’m sure that helped in the overall price. A rare knife. Camillus going out of business several years ago helped in driving up collector values. Four line stamp is also a plus.
