RETIRED, at home or wherever I want to be
and I don't think there has been good music (or even anything that can be called music) since about 1965.

Somewhere along the line some one called DEF Leopard came along.

Then there was DEF Comedy Jam.

Recently I saw 2 other things that were called DEF something.

What the Hell is DEF? Why is it something to have in your name?

Why do I even care? I don't know but it's buggin the heck out of me not knowing.

I'm old and cranky, hate that kind of music/comedy, BUT I GOTTA KNOW !!!!

"Def" is a slang word meaning cool or hip. Then ebonics came along and replaced "Def" with "Phat", meaning the same thing. In Bostonion terms it would be the equivalent of "wicked".

Thanks....'wicked pissah' is something I can relate to !
[rofl]
I have to admit, that was the funniest thing I ever heard when I migrated east from Ohio. Of course, I have my own regional slang that my wife just looks at me and shakes her head.

And I'm old, but I liked the 80s music. Go figure.
