If we could tie in some dinosaurs flying fighter jets, this would be the best thread ever.

Am I the only one to notice the wording in the article?
"Chief Medical Examiner Thomas A. Andrew determined Turcotte died as a result of a single gunshot wound to the head, and ruled his death a homicide, the Attorney General's Office said. The shooting and the circumstances surrounding Turcotte's death are still under investigation."
Am I wrong to think that this isn't the end of this story and that this Officer could potentially face charges?

SOP. The ME only determines cause of death and means of death. Shooting someone in this country is considered homicide. Period. Justification is dealt with separately. Hence this nations gun homicide stats actually include, however small, all justifiable shootings too.
Ah I see.. I was going by the actual definition of homicide which includes "unlawful killing"...

Police kill people everyday. Why is this news?

KEENE – For privacy reasons, authorities will not be releasing the name of the police officer who shot and killed a Keene man reportedly holding his ex-girlfriend hostage Tuesday night until a preliminary report is ready.
"We just want to maintain the privacy of the officer and the privacy of the department," said Senior Attorney General Janice Rundles.
Privacy of the police department? WTF?

Yes, and that is a major problem with the crime stats used by the socialists. That and the fact that they consider "children" all those under the age of 21.
Terra, have you seen stats on how many legally justified citizen homocides per year? I'm curious about this because I've seen stats that say there are between 1 and 4 million lawful uses of a firearm by citizens per year (2.5 million is the most recent I heard). Of those they say most do not require the gun actually being fired.
It''s noise in the stats because there really are very few justifiable homicides. That 2.5 million stat is BS, or it counts non shooting incidents so it doesn't apply.
