Of all your favorite wheelguns what was your favorite?

This one. A S&W 27-2 4"

This one is a close second. It's a 3" 66-2.

If I had to pick just one I would stay with my model 60, though the 7 round 686 is my current favorite wheel gun.

Wow.... jpdopes/knobcreek. I really like that 3" S&W 66-2 jpdopes, thats nice! and Knobcreeks "collector" second gen colt SAA's are sharp too. Nice gun porn! My second favorite is a "snubby" S&W 37-2 airweight . I prefer wheelguns to semi-autos for the simplicity. A friend has serial number 0001 and 0002 BP Colt Dragoon, second series mfgr of the late 80s, iirc, he'd ordered them and had to wait a few years for the second series to be made. Those are strictly collectables. I always wanted one of those composite metal lightwieght "electric blue" Taurus snubbies. O' well its nice to want!

My S+W 686-5 Prelock. I had it done up by S+W... trigger job, overtravel stop, etc. Action is as smooth as butter.... cylinder is also chamfered too.... Makes for a nice gun.

The only way I would ever get rid of it is if I found a 627 prelock. (8 shot).

2.5" 66-1 Bobbed hammer, tuned action, night sights, serrated trigger, chamfered cylinder, best carry gun I have ever owned. I have even shot an IDPA match in NH with it using full power 158gr jsp duty loads. That was a great match [grin]

First is the Smith Victory, because it is nearly perfect in terms of form and function, and has history out the wazoo.

Closely followed by the 586, because by moving to the .357, it addresses the only possible issue with the model 10/Victory.

Then the Model 22 because I also like the fact that it fires the same caliber as my 1911's, and looks like something Indy would carry.

If I had to pick an absolute favorite of our wheelguns, It'd have to be my 6" security six. LOVE it. Trigger smooth as butter, and so light in SA. Plus it's one amazingly accurate gun. Also love our S&W model 17-2 (been searching for a K22 varient for ages, finally found one) and the really neat nickle S&W model 37 we just picked up.

Ok, so really, I just have a huge thing for old revolvers, especially smiths and colts. Love them all. Plus the classic Rugers. Not such a big fan of the SP100/GP100 series.

Well, I only have 2 wheelguns and I hate one of them, So I would say my Ruger Security Six is my favorite. It's in great shape and fun to shoot, the S&W airweight is not so fun.
