Odd ball question about pistol sights

SO I like the idea of the new Trijicon HD XR thin post of my pistols, but i HATE 3-dot sights. The newer HD XR sight post is .215 for height, which is the same height for compatibility with some other name brands that run stright 8's; I know warren and Heine run their straight 8 for standard sized pistols with front sights that are .215. You think it would be a good match to mate, say a Heine or Warren single lamp rear sight with this new Trijicon HD XR front post to create a Franken-sights?

Topping this for Friday help. I'm a big XS Sight Systems sights. Post and dot. That huge dot in the front is great. And up close, you find you don't need to be "perfect' with the rear sight. Get that dot on target.
