This rare video captured the precise moment in which AOC realized that her dancing may work only on bulls:

Who will be doing all the work if no one has to work? If we all are unwilling to work how will things get done? By the way what is this about no meat? Will eating meat be a punishable crime?
The only way this Green Deal will become a reality is through force not funding. In order to have a society as described in this deal the government would need to have a large domestic army to control and police the common people "us" into submission.

    Now you are talking!

You need .gov to force feed you her stupid idea. And that is what socialism was always about! As we ex-commies used to say:"To destroy something is easy and fun to do. It costs you nothing! To build something takes forever and you may suffer while doing it!"

Communists said to small farmers in 1950's that it makes no sense for each small farmer to have tractor and pay loans. Let's have one tractor for all of us. That made sense! Then, they said that borders and fences between fields and gardens need to be taken down so tractors can work there without interruptions. That made sense! Then communists said that there is no need for so many farmers, they rounded up many of them and dumped them into mines where they were working shifts. That also made sense! All of these idiotic things made sense to people like you and me who never farmed in their lives (majority of people are like us), all of these things were Green New Deals 70 years ago!.........They all failed in the implementation stage. When communists discovered that there is something like erosion, winds, dry spells, and when they realized that tractors can't do most of the manual work nobody wanted to do anymore, the stores were empty and almost every citizen was harvesting his/her own "victory garden".

I can't believe the level of stupidity America has reached right now.

More seagulls are flying on this dump of idiots to make their presence known by leaving droppings on the heap of nothingness.

Your money working against you as we post here:

Leader of New Climate Panel Talks of Need for ‘Bold Action’
Castor dismissed the idea that the Green New Deal — put forth by freshman Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York and veteran Sen. Ed Markey of Massachusetts — will conflict with the climate panel.

“My job and the committee’s job is to take the general concepts (of the Green New Deal) and turn them into a real policy framework and legislative language and eventually law,” she said.

Pelosi agreed, saying in a statement that the climate panel will “spearhead Democrats’ work to develop innovative, effective solutions to prevent and reverse the climate crisis.”

Pelosi invited Ocasio-Cortez, a social media star and the best-known member of the large class of freshman Democrats, to join the climate panel, but she declined, saying she wants to focus on the Green New Deal and other committee assignments.

Three freshmen — Sean Casten of Illinois, Mike Levin of California and Joe Neguse of Colorado — serve on the panel, along with veteran lawmakers such as Rep. Ben Ray Lujan of New Mexico, the fourth-ranking House Democrat, and Californians Julia Brownley and Jared Huffman, both close Pelosi allies.

“We need their passion and energy, and we need support from all corners all across the country,” Castor said of the freshmen members. “It’s all hands on deck right now.”

Republicans have not named anyone to the climate committee, but six GOP members are expected to join the panel this month.

While she would have preferred that the committee be given subpoena power and legislative authority to draft their own bills, the panel’s more limited power “is not going to hamper us,” Castor said. Most invited witnesses will be eager to testify, she said, and those who resist — including members of the Trump administration — can be compelled to appear by other committees such as Energy and Commerce or Natural Resources.

While the earlier climate panel focused on establishing the threat posed by climate change, Castor said the time to debate climate science is long past.

“People understand the problems,” she said. “They see the effects of sea rise and more dangerous storms. They understand it. They look at Washington and kind of throw up their hands and say, ‘Why don’t you guys do something?’ ”

The committee’s challenge, she added, will be “to restore the faith of people and show them Washington can do some things.”

Sorry. No clue as to what this has to do with Puerro Rico.. or in a lot of ways AOC specifically.
To me she is just a spokesperson for a whole movement. And what we have been seeing is what sounds absolutely insane now, is quickly becoming law. And anybody that publicly disagrees with them becomes a societal outcast.

Just ask the “I won’t bake that cake” folks.

Yeah, shes leading a movement... a bowel movement. This broad is great, the damage she is doing to the far left is incredible... it's difficult to normalize that BS if an oxygen thief like that is your spokesperson.... [rofl]

I think anyone who does not take her and her intentions, and her followers, seriously, will be in for a world of hurt. She (they) have a LOT of social media, and therefore following and therefore VOTES on their side. Our side is losing the mindshare battle, and by ridiculing her, wasting time that we could be catching up or passing them. This is a PR battle, and they are winning (overall, not her in particular); right, wrong, or indifferent.

I'm not concerned about her in particular because she's incompetent. If you want to be disturbed and unsettled about something though think about the fact that this broad actually got elected... which means that the people that voted for her have to be at least as dumb as she is, that's far more unsettling.... point being not so much being concerned about her but quite obviously in that District she may be replaced by somebody who is a bigger moonbat who isn't quite as dumb that's where things get really dangerous.... I think that there's going to be an adjustment though at some point or another from the center vs this bs.... remember that a lot of this crap is just flash in the pan stuff because they are so focused on fighting Trump...

The thing that I found amazing, before the hurricane wiped out PR, is that they were almost completely dependent upon imported oil for their electrical generation. This, in a place, where there's almost constant wind and plenty of sun.

Every time a housing project is attempted it fails. This is the story of one in Amsterdam in th 50's. It was hailed as the city of the future and no expense was spared. Very modern, high speed rail into the city, parks, etc, etc. And it failed. It's a great story if you like podcasts.
Addendum: they did not offer the umbilical hook-up. And I would like 2 in my cubicle please, one in and one out.

There is no doubt that she is a liberal Pokemon Go or Pet Rock. But there is nothing new in her New Plan. It is recycled old communist plan which was maintained by DDR (East Germany) for the rest of the Warsaw Pact countries. What she is missing is "light pollution" + couple of other things which may come later. Even communists quickly dropped this non-sense because they have realized that even if they would drag everyone back in the Stone Age the biggest pollutant is a human race and it's requirements for it's own existence. Romania, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, DDR, they all had their electricity days and days when electricity was not available. They had "coal holidays" in winter when heat was not available and schools and businesses were closed because of that. Now, according to AOC, it is our turn to test such a stupidity.

    mao.jpg

We can laugh at her, but many of you clearly see the danger. This danger is potent because we are surrounded by nut cases who graduated from stupidity with honors.

Those idiots supporting her copied ideas should spend few weekends in Paris to understand what has happened to Macron's Global Dream over there:

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez claims a special love for Puerto Rico.

If we make AO-C field test her Green New Deal
on Puerto Rico's hurricane-destroyed electric grid,
Puerto Rico will secede from the US.

I lived in OC, .CA, developers were trying to buy up older streets thst had small houses with land to put up condos with a 10x10 patio as outdoor space. My street was built in 1960, had 40+/- 1100sqft houses on 4400sqft lots. They wanted my street to put up 250 condos. Nobody would sell. They offered 225k per house. Condos were going to sell for 400k+

Let's hope that when this Pokemon will go our younger generation will follow the Polish example!

    View: https://youtu.be/HeaQzfE2kHw

Poland's young voters turning to the right | DW | 09.02.2019
"In the past three years, young Poles have turned even more towards conservative values," said social psychologist Marta Majchrzak, who co-authored a study published in November by the commercial research institute IQS in which scientists interviewed childless Poles between the ages of 16 and 29. "They trust authorities, are dreaming of marriage, and are proud to be Polish citizens," she explained.

The study classified only 9 percent of respondents as "cosmopolitan" and "open to being different."
    -------------
Under the liberal PO party, which ruled the country from 2007 to 2015, the economy grew, but not the younger generation's economic security. Youth unemployment peaked at more than 27 percent in 2013. Young Poles ended up on temporary contracts and their wages were lower than they had hoped. In 2007 they helped the PO win the elections one last time, but punished the party in the following years by voting for the national conservatives, who promised them a social policy.

So driving to work this evening, I wondered why coastie Ron or another maritime brother hasn’t pointed out the biggest glaring issue with the proposed green new deal. No fossil fuels in 10 years time would make all maritime vessels a thing of the past. Like zero shipping. And then panama would be completely broke.
