    [laugh2][rofl]

Came 'this' close to spitting bits of fruit onto the monitor. I should know better by now than to read NES posts when eating or drinking something.

Years ago a friend wanted to set me up with her brother. I declined but she was persistent. I finally told her I can't be more manly than the guy I'm with.
You need useful people on your team in life.

Where TF are you going to find someone licensed to do that work for $75 an hour?

I hope a lot of people follow that advice. Less competition for survival when the apocalypse comes.

Obviously, I'm not used to hiring them, as I have not clue as to the charge.

At least $100/hour for a plumber, plus a charge just for showing up at the door. They have a very effective regulatory system in place designed to limit the supply of plumbers so that the price remains high.

WTF? I cant imagine how many time I would have been totally screwed if I didnt know how to do some of these things. I guess the more "they" guide men into being more feminine .. the easier they think it will be to control them. I am happy with my toxic masculinity and and knowing how to do things like be a leader and fix things at home..

That and a lack of trade schools where these skills are taught, along with a lack of students interested in learning these skills.

You could bring you faucet to North Carolina and get it fixed there.

There were complaints against a tech high school in MA (not sure of the town) offering adult ed courses including plumbing. The plumbers got the course canceled based on the claim it was subornation of unlicensed homeowner plumbing.

If shits gonna break for me, like a water pipe, valve or a toilet it usually does it at 6pm on a Friday niggt with a snow storm on the way and a week shy from payday.

    That's like a $300 call and a 4 hour wait.

No way I'm paying a plumber more than $300 to fix a failed filtered water tap connection. Or a toilet with a leaky anything fromthe wall to the floor.

Now the furnace on the other hand. I can clean some of it, prime the feed line and verify the lockouts are working properly. Anything else gets the phone call dude.

Remember we can't work on our car HVAC system anymore .At all. Without being licenced.

I am giving it a year or two and then brakes will be added to the list. Only repair places will be able to purchase pads and parts for brake systems and sealed reservuors will begin coming in to play.

Funny ..... all this stuff that is illegal to do yourself, but both home improvement stores, hardware stores, and even supply houses that cater to the trade will be glad to sell it to you.

Some now offer the course but you must hold an apprentice card to sign up. Someone is getting some $ some where.

Already there man, you need an expensive scan tool to deactivate the parking brake on VW's in order to service them. That's just one I know of.
Can't check the oil anymore on BMWs either.

Same with doctors. The racket to limit the number of medical schools and residency slots is creating an artificial doctor shortage.

Go to the store and buy your food there. That way no plants or animals are killed.

If that puke did anything, he'd have to apologize!

Ian Stobber is a Canadian writer with a passion for dating and a witty turn of phrase. To be honest, he's everything that's wrong with millennials, but he also appreciates the classics: He loves bourbon, hockey, and long walks on the rocky shores of a frozen lake.
