or another reason not to post every fricking thing you do on the interwebs. The whole world has turned into exhibitionists and no I don't want to see a picture of your lunch

Whats social media got to do.with it? people have been taking fish pics since affordable caneras existed.

And posting them for all the world to see? Keep it to yourself.

Lol, then why do you use social media if you don't want to see their shit? You can opt out, not sure if you were aware of that.

Also to qualify things I post like maybe.... 10 things on FB in an entire year. So I'm not one of the exhibitionists you're whining about, but if you're on there, and people post stuff, and it's "too much", then you're either not using it efficiently (you need to unfollow the people who take pics of their poop or whatever) or you don't belong there. It's like bitching about television. I only rarely do it.... you know why? Because I opted out. The shitty programming on TV doesn't bother me... because I don't have/pay for television. [laugh]

We have a cottage on Keuka Lake (in the Finger Lakes). Used to be bass season didn't open until July (I think), to protect spawning fish. Now it's catch and release only until then, a good compromise, I reckon. Still, we'd see folks "accidentally" catching bass from bass boats while skipping jigs up under docks (obviously looking for lakers), so I understand the desire to prevent poaching. I'm all for protecting the fishery, but stupid, unenforceable rules are stupid and unenforceable.

BTW, that is a nice fricken walleye.

Well what if you had a friend just roll the video while your unhooking it.... Then just post that. Since your moving the entire time too free it and not "dilly dallying" then can they say you "stopped" to photograph...

Well we all know they will say that, but it's still bullshit.

Who is to say when the photo was taken? Just because it was posted in x season, does not mean it was caught then.

Deductive reasoning/inference from social media stuff is when most people post pics its pretty proximate from the time the event happens. It's not incontrovertible proof but it's like when you see a mass plate at a fireworks store in NH, those fireworks are going back into MA.... [rofl]

Basically though the fishcops there are just being 110% douchebags. Like nobody ever caught something out of season by accident and took a polaroid of it or something.

I can't stand when people post there opinions in forums...I mean that is really pushy. [laugh]

Pretty soon fishing will be taboo as well. No living of the land...or water for that matter. Those animals in the grocery store don't feel a thing.

Correct! You publish your personal life on social media and then wonder when why your privacy keeps getting compromised.

Welcome to the socialistic Nazi America.
