North Brookfield Sportsmen's Club, North Brookfield, MA - June 6 - Rifle, Pistol, Shotgun, Archery - Includes eye and ear protection, targets, loaner firearms, ammunition, lunch and refreshments. $55 - Pre Registration Required - Contact Information: Angela Fisher; 508-393-5333 X20; [email protected]

This is a great opportunity for women who are interested in the shooting sports to receive hands on instruction in archery, shotgun, rifle, and pistol.

Successful completion of this event exceeds the requirements for application for a Mass. FID or LTC.

Surprised at how fast these fill up and how much demand there is. Last year the one at Sippican Rod and Gun club filled up fast so they decided to do another one and this year and the same thing happened. There's even a list of people waiting in case some can't make it.

I helped out at the rifle range last year and will probably do so again this year. It's cool watching women eager to shoot AK47s. :)

I see on the GOAL website that they're starting to post the Women on Target events. Any idea yet when Auburn Sportsmans Club will be doing the Women on Target event this summer? Wifey had such a good time last year that she wants to go again and bring more friends LOL. Thanks

If it is scheduled, you might look at nrainstructors.org to see if it is listed there.

I'm pretty sure there are 2 scheduled this year at Auburn, plus 1st Shots. Check their calendar, or go to meeting Monday night at 7:00.

We've had a number of the WOT shoots at Westwood, always well attended. Goal has lent us a couple Benelli soft kick shotguns for the girls if they need it.

Thanks.. I was hoping someone would know already so wifey could start recruiting her peeps to go too. I'm a bit of a ways away, so not so important for me to go. I know there are other locations, but since the wife did Auburn last year, and was extremely happy with it, no reason to change.

The Women on Target event at North Brookfield Sportsmens Club is scheduled for Sat June 25th, 2016. 8am -5pm.

Any of these southeastern Massachusetts? Would lo e to get Somme friends and family to one, but they dont travel much.

There have been some in the South of Boston area but the NRA website is piss-poor for listing them. Best to find out from the local clubs in the area, so hopefully club members that are NES'rs will post info here when they become aware that their club is running one.

Might need some help for the April 17 Women On Target. If you are a member of ASC, or have helped there before, there is an organizational meeting at the club tomorrow night at 6:00.

My wife took the Women on Target program today at the Westwood Gun Club - and she loved it. Having grown up in the PRM, it was her first time shooting a firearm; when I asked her how it went her eyes got big and she said she wants an AR with a red dot sight! I think we're both thrilled about the outcome :) As others have noted, the training program is great and the opportunity to shoot a variety of firearms is a sweet way to try it out. I see in the thread that people haven't been sure where to find scheduled classes - we found it it on the GOAL website:

Many thanks to GOAL and the Westwood Gun Club for sponsoring this - and a special shout out to the person who brought their AR + red dot for the class to try!
