NRA Museum-worth the drive

My family went to VA for a few days in August, and we had a chance to go to the NRA firearms museum. To call it a valuable experience is an understatement, as it's galleries are educational, many displays are in historical context, and there's some serious gun porn! Our first attempt to go was thwarted by a gun protest, but we managed to sneak in a visit on our way back home. I strongly recommend a field trip here anytime!

NRA Museums: NRA National Firearms Museum

Definitely worth the trip. I taught many Appleseed classes on the NRA range below the building.

I've heard great things about it from a friend who is an ICE agent and true gun guy. He's apparently been there a few times and told me that it is someplace that I just have to go to.

I've been there a couple times. Amazing place. And free if you're an NRA member!

Definitely worth the trip if you're in that neck of the woods.

My boss is a member of the NRA range in the parking garage under the museum. I might be there again in a couple weeks.

I went a couple of years ago. Well worth the trip and it's a stone's throw from Udvar-Hazy (air & space) museum at Dulles. Makes for a great day.

I did the same thing. Definitely recommend both.

Ive been there before and I’d go again if I was in the area. If you are nearby and like guns you owe it to yourself to stop in.

AFAIK, it's free for everyone. No one asked for my membership info when I went.
