they seem to be getting out of control with the renewals, but today they sent this giant orange envelope with anti obama stuff all over it. its ok to send me that stuff in a regular envelope but man my neighbors gave me some strange looks. maybe its just a ma thing.

the gun manufacturers must be pressuring them to start another obamascare since sales have been falling off lately

yeah looking at it now. i guess it comes with pre filled letters to our senators. cuz we cant write our own letters....

Personally I think mass residents need to join together and sign petitions and put a TON of pressure on all the politicians to ensure they follow our constitution.

The NRA has agendas and is OK in my book but I like GOA and I also respect the cato institution that fought the DC gun ban!

agreed. my point is that my neighbors are libtards and i do not need them knowing or people passing by that there are guns at my address.

I received a call from the NRA a few days ago and on the caller ID it said emergency alert. That wasn't cool with me and I gave them a piece of my mind about it and refused to give them any $.

I know all about how we need them, But I am sick of the constant harassment by mail, email and phone, I'll stay a member but it will be year to year, and they can keep the cheap China shit they send.

Tim

If you call them you can opt out of all solicitations.

I have been a life member for a long time the only thing I get is my magazine and ballot.

Calling them is easier than typing on here and your problem goes away.

Will Do ~ Just tired of always having to take some bad to help the good.

Thanks Tim [thumbsup]

I just got fed up with all the "crazy looking" mail as well. On their website FAQ you can email in. Make sure to include your info and member #. I received an acknowledgement the next day so hopefully less junk to recycle.

Please add me to the "Do Not Promote" list.
I would like to reduce the physical paper mail that I receive from the NRA.

Calling them just never came to mind, with today's marketing and solicitation you just become cold to it.

Take them to the range. Engage them and turn them. Of your neighbors don't know you have them or a strong idea of it by your conversations you're doing it wrong. I've actually found a few that are gun owners and a few I need to take to the range. Now I'm not saying this happens over night but after a few years of working them you should be g2g.

I'm all done with those fools. I'll remain a member, but I pay zero attention to the gorilla marketing strategy - right into the shredder (with everything else)

Hey, look, there is a SWAT team at my door right now. They just told me that if I don't send the NRA money right now they are going to kick in my door, shoot my dog, and take my guns.

And I don't even have a dog.

Well they will give you a dog to shoot!

I got my neighbor to apply for his LTC by doing this.

Then I got his kids to come to the range. Now they want their own .22's, and their daughter wants an AR.

i had to give them a call to ask them to take my work address off their mailing list. could have caused me headaches i didn't need at my place of employment. the lady on the phone laughed when i explained MA to her.

Nice! The only reason it's so taboo is because gun owners make it out to be. Especially once the neighbors realize that wait a second this is a great neighbor who has helped me out and isn't insane and they're the face of gun owners.... ok I'll try. Not all will bite but you can educate and throw more on the fence and perhaps as you have done bring some over to our side.

Once things like the Oct snowstorm roll through and realize that you're g2g and don't need to rely on a service that can't get to your house in a timely manner they tend to reevaluate.

Dude, I am just like you! I worry anytime I see a desperate mailing from NRA in my mailbox. They are so desperate in their fight for our own rights that they even pre-print letters for us. They are not doing it because they think we can't type, they are mailing it because we continue voting for representatives on all levels who mold us into drones. It is very disturbing for me when NRA is invading my privacy in my dangerous hood where I read anything gun related under the blanket with my fancy tactical flashlight. Instead of digging tunnels from my house to my car I plastered my car with "Warren For President" and "I Am READY for Hillary" stickers thus avoiding any hard labor, if you know what I mean. It is very unpleasant to be a member of a clandestine organization like NRA. They are still alive and not dead as I am. I want them to go away but......you never know and I like to play with a gun when nobody is around. This gun porn is only for tough dudes like me. I think NRA used my credit card without me even knowing. Shame on them! Long live FREEDOM!
Best regards,
NRA LIFER

NRA marketing is geared towards dumb or uninformed voters/Americans
