Home Firearm Safety is a Half Day course designed for individuals who want to apply for an FID or License to Carry permit.
Course Goal:
“To teach the basic knowledge and skills and to explain the attitude necessary for the safe handling and storage of guns in the home.”
Topics include:
1. Rules for Safe Gun Handling
2. Identifying and Unloading Different Firearms
3. Practical Exercises in Safe Gun Handling
4. Types of Ammunition; Cleaning and Storage of Firearms
5. Massachusetts Laws Pertaining to Permit Application, Firearms Storage and Transportation
Proper handling of guns and actual firing of guns at the Maynard Club
Indoor range is part of this course. Students will use .22LR
