Everyone on this site wants a pay raise every year, but expects corporations to operate on the same level of income every year.Yeah. Keep your money in your pocket. Hold onto it until Uncle Sugar comes to take it.
Good golly, people. Is there nothing we will not complain about?????
Depends on how they recognize revenue. They might take that number, divide it by the yearly membership cost and recognize the revenue over a number of years. This would allow them to do a better job at forecasting revenue for the next few years and will allow them to spend money in a better way, while working on options to get more money.I get that, and that is probably also why the timing on the increase of dues and why they are giving the heads up letting people renew early and get the discount. But if every annual member became a lifer tomorrow at a significant discount, they would get that shot, but future renewals would be non existent taking a big hit on future income.
Not to mention, even if everyone buys the discounted $600 life membership tomorrow, that's 20 years of their $30 annual membership in today's dollars. That's a sizable warchest. I would love to have that much runway on my expenses.Everyone on this site wants a pay raise every year, but expects corporations to operate on the same level of income every year.
Costs increase, the cost of people increase.
Doesnt everyone here alway complain how the cost of everything increases all the time?

But, there isnt a scenario where every single member will become a life member.
I'm getting about 3 or 4 calls/week soliciting donations or membership renewal.
I agree. People will spend $800 on a new iPhone every two years but when you ask them to pony up to protect the 2nd ammendment all of a sudden they're laid off or have other priorities. If you are not lifer by now, do not bother. You are not serious and you have no idea what is going on.
Spend your cash in Starbucks.

And they will gripe about belonging to the number one gun rights organization but happily feed Zuckerberg with their Facebook infatuation.
Knock off the anti-social media, buy a used phone and put your money where it actually helps.
Or just keep posting pics of your sandwich and tell us all how you hit the gym today while the left reaps all the advertising revenue from your stupid myspacebook-instac*** account.
I have an NRA-ILA pullover jacket I always keep in my 4-runner. Its zips up into its own front pocket for storage. I needed it last night as I had no umbrella, etc. I walked into a brewery in Somerville and I think 3 heads exploded.
