I haven't gotten any solicitations. Back when I was a member, I took the advice to contact member services and ask to not receive any mail or phone calls. That seems to have stuck, even though I've been an on-again/off-again member since then. When I was "on", it was mostly because I belonged to a club that required NRA membership because of their insurance.

Here's my public pledge: as soon as the NRA is purged of WLP and all his enablers, and has no ties to Ack-Mac or any other firm related to WLP no matter how many degrees they're removed, I will purchase a personal life membership. And as I'm able to afford it, I will purchase life memberships for all my family members.

The fun thing is though, is that nobody would care if they set cash on fire if they were actually effective, we would turn a blind eye
to it and not care. The problem is they're setting cash on fire and being woefully ineffective. Tiny splinter and state groups have been far more effective in the past decade or so, and it's undeniable.

Seriously. Who ever heard of Alan Gura or SAF, until NRA tried to kill their case that eventually became Heller v. D.C.? And Heller begat McDonald, all while NRA was screaming to pump the brakes and let them drive.

After both cases were over, NRA bragged that it was all their doing.

The work-around is to give the employee a tax gross-up, which is very common for C suite level executives when they indulge in benefits like personal use of one of the corporate jets.

Are you suggesting that this wasn't a good use of funds?

SCOTUS is bush league. NRA is too busy doing hot takes on children's television and buying Wayne a bachelor pad.

Nice touch. Your post is a classic example of fake news. Textbook actually. See you take a high impact sliver of truth and display it for shock value. Total dismissal of the actual message. Many see the image and take it at face value. Easy win. But is not the truth.

Now put the the Kenyan train up along with the statement of political posturing from the production company then we got some real news. And then your tall tale of social injustice runs out of track...

Yes, that kind of horseshit, exactly. and a whole bunch of other things, like basically jerking off the MSM after parkland with those stupid "town hall "
events, where they basically set themselves up to be assassinated on TV in a put up job with a live audience mostly full of antis and a weak ass RINO like Rubio supposedly helping. Like what kind or birdbrain thinks that allowing the enemy to set the terms and venue like that was ever a good
idea? At least demand a neutral forum, for f***s sake. It would be like being a professional boxer and your opponent has exclusive domain over choosing the judges responsible for scoring... it's just weaksauce mistakes like that, that end up with the NRA's actions basically punching us squarely in the dick.

All this makes me sad for the thousands of people who gave $$$ to the NRA as part of a final bequest. What a waste of people’s life savings and acquisitions thinking that it was going to the defense of 2A. Such a mess!

Met a guy at the LGS the other day, who is member at a club with a nice 300 yard range. He said there was no waiting list and had my attention right away, as the club is only 25 minutes away from my house. But... NRA membership is mandatory. I told him that was a deal breaker in a major way. He told me the club gets that a lot, lately.

Even if LaPierre remains at the NRA for the time being, we need NRA members now more than ever. They are the only gun organization that Congress is afraid of, so they're the most effective organization. Dropping your NRA memberships is precisely what the antis want. LaPierre will be gone eventually. We all just need to stay the course and remain NRA members.

I just made sure all my memberships were up to date or got a bump - NRA, GOA, SAF... and of course our own GOAL and Comm2A. Yeah, I know a lot of people don't like everything they do (or don't do). And of course, I completely agree that the NRA has definite shortcomings. However, they also do good work and there is legitimate power in having multiple pro 2A organizations that can go in saying they have X million members. In the grand scheme of things is it ultimately chump change to at least minimally add to that lobbying power. I waste way more money on much stupiderer stuff all the time.
