You all realize Peacocks and Peahens are not native to this continent (that one is asian from India/SE asia area I believe), right?

I don't know how it's surviving the winter, much less not getting shot or run over. It has to come from somewhere and go somewhere to survive.

I saw one in the woods in Sterling once when fishing with my dad. We thought we were going crazy, especially with the noise it made before we actually saw it.

This was about thirty years ago - probably not the same one.

And we were both sober.

BTW - it tasted like a cross between Owl and Panda.

There are a pair in Plymouth at the Ellis Haven campground. They have been there along with goats and who knows what else in an area near the street. Occasionally one escapes and causes chaos in the morning. ..

Fountain Hills, Arizona, famous for the worlds largest water fountain. Seriously, it's a hazard to air navigation.
The fountains' mist is borne by the winds to the sides of the lake that houses the fountain... Lush green grass, and free roaming guinea fowl, peacocks, and other exotic fowl.
It was surreal. Especially the plaque that proudly proclaimed that the fountain caused the loss of 10,000 gallons of water every time it fired. (IIRC) [thinking]
