Most of the time, a bayonet is a bayonet, is a bayonet.

But I'm all charged up about this one:

The serial, 548831, is only a few (tens of) thousands off from my US marked Remington. Wha-hoot!

What style or configuration is this? I have a similar one and am trying to find a value to sell it with a Finn M91 this week. The bayonet is not SA marked.

Yours is the early lock-ring style for the M91. It very much depends on markings. A Chatellerault or [SA] marked bayonet can go for $2-300, Sestroryetsk is $150-200, Remington and NE Westinghouse are $1-150, and Tula and Izhevsk are $50.

For reference, mine was $125 shipped.

The bow and arrow mark under the 18 of the serial number is the Izhevsk arsenal logo. One of the most common ones...

... but still $50 worth of bayonet you have there!

I like it. Those old types with the simplicity of a screw lock ring...

Diverging a bit from the Mosin theme, I'd like to find a bayonet that fits my M1888/05 Commission Rifle. They weren't used long enough to have dedicated bayonets made for them, but rather had bayonets from other rifles adapted to them.

Regards,

Josh
